Taunton Permanent £28,500 - £28,500

You’re a block and estate Property Manager who’s had enough of oversized portfolios, frustrated directors and slow central teams at a big national. In this role you join a fast-growing, locally focused managing agent in Taunton where your patch is deliberately smaller, support sits across the desk, and clients genuinely value the service, with 200+ five-star Google reviews to prove it.

As the fifth Property Manager in a tight-knit team you’ll own a portfolio of around 25–30 developments, roughly 700–1,000 units, and be the face of the business for directors and leaseholders. This role exists because the business is reshaping portfolios to raise standards, and for you there’s a clear path towards a Head of Property Management role within the next couple of years.

What You'll Do

Own a portfolio of c.25–30 blocks and estates (around 700–1,000 units), building long-term relationships with directors and leaseholders.
Lead AGMs and director meetings, presenting budgets, plans and updates clearly so clients feel informed, supported and in control.
Coordinate contractors, on-site staff and major works from instruction to completion, ensuring safety, quality and value for money.
Keep your developments compliant and well run through proactive inspections and a disciplined approach to standards and deadlines.
Work closely with the Operations Director, Managing Director and fellow Property Managers to resolve issues quickly and share best practice.
Split your week between the Taunton office and site visits, planning your time around client priorities and key events.
Contribute ideas as the business grows, helping shape processes and positioning yourself for progression into a potential Head of Property Management role.

What You'll Bring

Experience as a Property Manager, Block Manager or Estate Manager within residential block and estate management, ideally 2–3+ years with a managing agent.
Proven ability to manage multiple developments while staying highly organised, methodical and detail-focused under pressure.
Confident client-facing skills, including running AGMs and director meetings and handling challenging conversations with professionalism and empathy.
A collaborative, dependable way of working, keeping colleagues, contractors and clients connected so issues are resolved quickly.
A stable employment history that shows commitment and progression rather than frequent short-term moves.
Any relevant professional qualification (for example IRPM or RICS) and experience on larger projects, larger sites or high-rise buildings would be a strong plus.

What's On Offer

Salary in the range of £30,000–£35,000, depending on experience.
Hybrid working based from the Taunton office, typically 2–3 days in the office plus regular site visits.
A right-sized portfolio and smaller patch than many national agents, letting you focus on quality rather than constant firefighting.
The chance to join a fast-growing, locally focused business with 200+ five-star Google reviews and strong relationships with clients and contractors.
Direct access to senior decision-makers and fast internal support instead of distant, slow central departments.
A clear progression path towards a future Head of Property Management role and broader senior leadership opportunities as the company scales.
Benefits package, details on application.

If you’re a Property Manager who wants a manageable portfolio, closer client relationships and a genuine route into leadership, this could be your next step.
